Train To Gain Funding

TRAIN TO GAIN FUNDING

You or your organisation could be eligible for funding under the Train to Gain Leadership and Management grant.  Train to Gain is a national skills service aiming to support employers of all sizes and in all sectors to advance the skills of their employees as a route to improving their business performance.  Train to Gain is a joint investment - you and the Government working together to enhance your business by improving the skills of your individual staff members.

All GA Contract and Commercial training courses qualify for funding under the Leadership and Management grant and we would be pleased to assist in your application for the funding.

WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THE TRAINING?

Train to Gain works to enhance the skills of all kinds of people, such as:

  • contracted employees (full and part-time)
  • self-employed people
  • volunteers
  • employment agency workers

DO YOU QUALIFY FOR THE GRANT?

In order to meet the criteria for this grant you must meet the following three requirements-

  • Are you based in the UK and wholly UK owned?
  • Is your workforce between 5 - 250 employees?
  • Is the first time you have applied for funding under this particular grant?

If you answer yes to these three requirements then you could be suitable for the grant.

IN PRACTICE HOW DOES THE GRANT WORK?

Up to £1000 can be granted in total. This funding is based on match funding.

After the automatically granted £500 is received the next £500 is match funded.

So if you were undertaking a training programme for £1,500 the grant would be worked out as follows:

  • First £500 automatically funded
  • Second £500 match funded by the grant
  • Third £500 paid by you

Put simply for a £1,500 training course you would pay a maximum of £500 and the further £1000 would be available under the Leadership and Management grant.

Open GA courses are another option for the funding. So if you are applying for the grant to attend a GA open course priced at £399 +VAT there would be no cost to you for the course as this would be provided under the grant (first £500 granted automatically) - given that you meet the straightforward eligibility requirements.

HOW IS THE GRANT PAID?

Once you have paid the client organisation for the training course and have a receipted invoice stating that the money has been received the grant will then be paid within 30 days.

HOW DO YOU APPLY?

The application process is very simple and does not take very long. GA are able to assist you in all stages of this process from start to finish. We have helped many organisations and individuals apply with success to receive funding from the grant.
