22 April 2009
A leading analyst has opened nominations for its annual customer service award, which recognises firms' excellent performance in this area.
The Gartner and 1to1 Customer Awards is open to any end-user organisation whose customer relationship strategy is having a positive effect on consumer experience.
Among the categories firms can be entered in is Service Optimization, which highlights companies that have performed strongly in providing strong customer service and support that is enabled by technology.
Johan Jacobs, research director at Gartner, states that successful management in this area needs a strategy that complements the company's vision and creates a plan of action.
He states: "A customer relationship management strategy is critical to develop valuable customer relationships and create a competitive position that will allow you to leverage your company's customer assets."
In other news, companies in Northern Ireland are eligible in a new category for the 2009 National Training Awards, which will recognise innovative programmes launched to help firms overcome difficulties they are facing.
