Customer service training: Alliance & Leicester shortlisted for good consumer care

01 June 2009

Alliance and Leicester has been shortlisted as the Most Trusted Current Accounts Provider in a contest to find which firms offer the best consumer care, highlighting the importance of customer service training.

Halifax, Lloyds TSB, Natwest, Nationwide and First Direct were also picked by the host for the Moneywise Customer Service Awards 2009 in the Best Customer Service category.

Alliance and Leicester's level of consumer care has also been recognised through nominations in the credit card provider, mortgage provider, savings provider and cash ISA provider fields.

Moneywise will announce the winners in each of these categories at a black tie ceremony on June 25th, which could highlight the importance of customer service training.

Launched in January, the survey is the largest financial service company study of its type carried out in the UK and is based on the opinions of more than 10,000 respondents.

Moneywise states: "Not only will it highlight those companies that have maintained consistently high service standards, but it will also recognise the financial brands that are most trusted by product category."
