Customer service training: Mobile operators do not meet expectations
22 June 2009
Customer service training may be required if mobile phone operators are to meet customers' expectations, a study has found.
Which? magazine did not list an operator on its best buy list, showing that every company performed poorly in this regard.
It claims that while Virgin's pay-monthly deals and Tesco's pay-as-you-go arrangements were the best on offer, neither scored well, highlighting customer service training.
Jess Ross, which.co.uk's editor, says that the industry is progressing strongly but that consumer care provision has not improved in line with this.
She states: "Without a single mobile phone service awarded a best buy in our survey, clearly the industry has some catching up to do when it comes to meeting its customers' expectations."
In other news, Hillingdon Council's The Asha Day Centre was recently recognised in a report by SGS for the good level of consumer care it provides, highlighting the value of customer service training.
GA Training has a number of customer service training courses which are available on both a public and in-house basis.
