05 August 2009

A leading higher education provider has been given an award for its high levels of consumer care, highlighting the advantages of customer service training.

The University of Exeter has successfully achieved Customer First UK accreditation, with chancellor Dr Floella Benjamen presenting director of corporate services Jeremy Lindley with the accolade.

Mr Lindley claims that the hard work and professionalism of the team have all contributed to the achievement of this standard, highlighting the importance of customer service training.

He states: "I am delighted that we have achieved this prestigious accreditation and look forward to working with colleagues across the university to ensure we continue to offer excellent customer service in everything we do."

The director claims that this will enable the firm to match the quality expected of a top ten university.

City of York Council recently announced that it has reached the government's Customer Service Excellent standard, the Press reports.
