Customer service training: Wycombe council signs consumer care deal

08 July 2009

A local authority has entered into a partnership with Northgate Public Services in order to help boost consumer care in the region, highlighting the value of customer service training.

Wycombe District Council hopes the deal will help improve users' experiences and support business processes inside the organisation, as well as boosting residents' satisfaction.

Roger Colomb, councillor and cabinet member for procurement and customer service, claims that the agreement is focused on providing positive outcomes.

He states: "Wycombe District Council is committed to providing excellent customer service. We recognise that we have to improve the way that we engage and deliver services to our residents in these difficult economic times."

In addition to improvements, he says that the deal is likely to deliver value for money for the taxpayer.

The Evening Times recently reported that the Glasgow Housing Association has won the Customer Service Excellence award for public sector organisations due to its high level of consumer care.
