Customer service training to boost freight firm's business
08 June 2009
A delivery firm has extended its business and will offer new customer care centres to improve client relationships, which may see increased investment in customer service training.
Nightfreight is acquiring three new depots in the south-west and will start new customer care centres at each location in a bid to increase the amount businesses can benefit from the services, reports the Herald.
The company will also spend £3 million on 45 new vehicles following the purchase of the Bridgwater, Dawlish and Saltash sites.
Other services to be offered by Nightfreight include home delivery, contract logistics and a pay-as-you-go service, the newspaper reports.
The company says the acquisition of the new sites is in response to customer demand and it plans to upgrade the locations.
Alan Twigg, spokesperson for My Shop is Your Shop, recently said that big companies, such as Nightfrieght, should attempt to emulate the customer service of smaller firms.
