Firm hails customer service training

08 June 2009

One catering company says the secret to its success is providing good customer care following customer service training to create a good all-round experience.

Cordia, a service provider which also offers school meals, says a recent deal with St Andrews Secondary school will rely on attention to detail and responsiveness to customer needs, reports the Sunday Herald.

Fergus Chambers, managing director of the company, said: "Our view is that customer service is a key element of school meals, as we know that eating is not about the food on the plate, it's the whole experience."

He told the newspaper Cordia, which employs 8,300 staff and has a £154 million turnover, aims to exceed client expectations, which may be due to investment in customer service training.

Alex Buchanan, editor of Catering In Scotland magazine, said the company has built up a "strong reputation", which was bolstered in 2005 when Mr Chambers received the lifetime excellence award from the publication.

Tim Danton, writing for PC Pro, recently suggested more companies could be investing in customer service training as it may be viewed as a differentiator between firms.

GA Training provides a wide variety of customer service training courses to both the public and private sectors which help you identify and then exceed the needs and expectations of your customers, providing exceptional service consistently each and every time.ADNFCR-1303-ID-19207340-ADNFCR
