HSBC's customer service praised
23 April 2009
Leading high street bank HSBC has been found to have the highest level of customer service out of all UK rivals.
Prophet, brand and innovation strategist, claims that the financial services provider beats nine other companies in its field by having outstanding speed and quality of service, along with the best customer experience.
The assessment was conducted in the form of a mystery shopping exercise and HSBC's customer welcome and environment were isolated for praise.
In addition, its staff were praised for their "personal, attentive and knowledgeable staff".
Joe Garner, its general manager of personal financial services, has expressed delight at the recognition.
He states: "We have an excellent team who work incredibly hard across the business to deliver consistently good customer service."
In other news, ferry operator P&O has announced it is investing in customer service training in order to improve its call centres, Customer-Strategy.co.uk reports.
Before its decision, the firm took part in the Top 50 Call Centres for Customer Service programme.
