Honda rolls out training programme
29 January 2008
Japanese automaker Honda is rolling out a training programme for employees, including those working for Honda UK.
It will use Certpoint's virtual learning system to provide e-learning and classroom-based training to create "brand ambassadors" among staff and partners, IT PRO reports.
"Like many large organisations these days, Honda Motor Europe needs to deliver regular training to more of its people in an efficient and timely manner," said Dick Klein, Honda Motor Europe's head of customer operations.
One of the aims of the training programme is to deliver better customer service, and it will be provided across the company's automobile, motorcycle and power equipment sections.
Honda is the largest engine-maker in the world, producing in excess of 14 million internal combustion engines each year.
Its headquarters are in Japan.
