Lily Allen to star in animated skills film

Lily Allen is to star with indie band the Levellers in an animated film aimed at encouraging workers to improve their skills.
The film, created by the skills arm of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), Unionlearn, is designed to publicise the thousands of union learning representatives in the UK.
It will feature cartoon characters and urge people to go on training courses.
"Through showing this DVD at events such as Glastonbury and other music festivals we will be able to encourage people from all walks of life to consider how their unions can help them with their education," said Unionlearn's director, Liz Smith.
"There has been a quiet revolution in the workplace, in which trade unions and union learning reps are helping to improve the workforce's skills, which benefits employers, individuals, and the economy."
