More Th>n awarded for customer service training

Insurance company More Th>n has been honoured for its good client relations at the Marketing Society Golden Jubilee Awards, which may be the result of customer service training.

The company was given the Customer Relationship Marketing award following a scheme from the company to boost retention levels from clients.

More Th>n developed a programme which gave all clients a named contact within its customer service team, in addition to their email address and a personal direct line.

The scheme delivered double-figure retention rates for the insurance firm, with customer service training being involved in the new Personal Customer Manager programme.

Marketing was centred around the new customer service drive, with an email and direct mail campaign being carried out alongside it, while 1.3 million client were told about it in total.

Hotel company Best Western was given the Highly Commended mention in the same category at the awards, honouring it for its own client relations work.
