NHS Lanarkshire 'to receive customer service training'
13 August 2009
Members of staff at NHS Lanarkshire are receiving customer service training in order to improve consumer care standards.
This is designed to make the local health service more accessible and to improve the quality of information it provides.
Its customer service training is entitled How Can I Help You? and will accompany a guide to written communications with the health board.
Karen Hamilton, head of communications at NHS Lanarkshire, claims that all staff have a responsibility to deliver a high level of consumer care.
She says: "The How Can I Help You? training programme being rolled out will support staff to deliver a high quality, consistent service that meets the customers' needs to enable them to access our services."
Last month, the Press reported that workers at York Council have achieved a new level of consumer care accreditation, highlighting the value of customer service training.
Gordon Brown, the prime minister, wrote a letter to the team thanking them for their accomplishment.
GA Training has a number of customer service training courses which are available on both a public and in-house basis. Suitable for both the public and private sectors GAs customer service course solutions have been helping individuals and organisations to provide exceptional levels of service for over a decade.
