O2 recognised for high levels of customer service

19 March 2009

The largest customer service survey of the UK broadband industry has found O2 to be the best large internet service provider (ISP).

Conducted by thinkbroadband.com, the study was based on 0.5 million people's ratings during 2008.

Sebastian Lahtinen, co-founder of the website, claims the level of customer service O2 supplies is "exceptional" for a company of its size.

He states: "It is refreshing to see a supplier of some of the fastest services in the country maintaining customer service and reliability levels so high."

Peter Rampling, marketing director at Telefonica O2 UK, says the award is a "fantastic endorsement" of the priority it gives to consumer care.

In addition, the survey assessed the niche ISP market and recognised IDNet for its high level of customer service.

According to MyCustomer.com, dynamics customer relationship management product manager at Microsoft Business Solutions Jason Nash recently described companies failing to provide a high level of consumer care as committing "commercial suicide".ADNFCR-1303-ID-19083475-ADNFCR
