15 February 2008
Robust customer service training has helped payroll and HR firm Paychex improve its ranking on Training magazine's list of top organisations for developing staff skills.
The company is ranked number 30 on this year's list, up from 34 last year, Euroinvestor reports.
Its in-house training centre is known as the University of Paychex, and it provided employees with some 1.25 million hours of training in the fiscal 2007 year.
The emphasis given to customer service training was highlighted in the Training magazine entry.
"We are honoured to again be considered one of the premier training and development organisations in the world," said Kimberly Kelly, the company's director of training.
"Our talented University of Paychex training team remains dedicated to delivering on the company's strategic commitment to develop the most technically knowledgeable sales and service employees in our industry."
Paychex is headquartered in New York, and serves 561,000 payroll clients around the world.
