Retail outlet scoops 'outstanding' customer care accolade

16 June 2008

Dedication to "first-class" customer care has landed another British business a prestigious gong for its efforts.

Representatives for Cheshire retail emporium Sparkling Strawberry told reporters that topping the Vale Royal Business Awards' customer care category gave them welcome recognition for their efforts.

"Customer care has always been at the heart of our business plan and our customer care policy spans the whole customer experience," director Gordon Pearson remarked to the Chester Chronicle.

"Sparkling Strawberry was set up and built on the philosophy of providing outstanding customer care, so to receive this recognition for the hard work we have put in is fantastic," added partner Sarah.

In related news, rigorous attention to the improvement of customer care skills is at the centre of a new training initiative in the financial services sector, announced last month.

Intended for financial advisers who already have a high level of competence, the Later Life Adviser Accreditation Scheme - supported by the Financial Services Authority - will involve participants demonstrating their abilities through work-based assessment and completing an annual professional development programme.
