Skill development and customer care know-how land brokers with award nominations

30 June 2008

Investing in a "skilled and dedicated" team and paying attention to customer care know-how have led two Halifax-based insurance brokers to land in the final of a prestigious awards ceremony.

According to the city's Evening Courier, Wilby and sister company Caravan Guard saw off competition from around the country to reach the shortlist for the British Insurance Awards, described as the industry equivalent of the Oscars.

"The shortlisting is a sign of complete excellence across all areas of our business, from customer care, to developing great insurance products, to investing in our highly skilled and dedicated team," Caravan Guard director Chris Nettleton remarked to the paper.

Wilby boss Mike Shaw added: "These awards pitch us against the real giants of the insurance industry.

"Our shortlisting for Commercial Lines Broker of the Year once again shows the superior service proposition our team provides for clients."

Earlier this month, similar dedication to "first-class" customer care saw Cheshire retail emporium Sparkling Strawberry scoop a top gong at the Vale Royal Business Awards.ADNFCR-1303-ID-18661727-ADNFCR
