The Smiles of Britain 'highlights great customer service training'
22 May 2009
A new campaign is being launched to highlight the importance of providing a high level of consumer care, emphasising the value of customer service training.
The Smiles of Britain initiative aims to celebrate excellent performance among members of the hospitality industry.
Members of the public are invited to take a photo of company representatives with the warmest, most welcoming smiles and submit them to the campaign's website.
David McHattie, chief executive of the National Skills Academy for Hospitality, says the initiative is designed to shine a light on those providing excellent consumer care.
He states: "The role of the National Skills Academy for Hospitality is to seek out the very best training, development and education programmes in hospitality."
Earlier this year, chairman of Visit Britain Christopher Rodrigues told the Independent that customer service training needed to be implemented, as if the UK did not improve in this respect then the tourism sector would perform poorly.
Customer Service training with GA is designed to help individuals and organisations provide consistent levels of service at each and every point of contact.
