Wrekin Housing Trust's customer service training recognised

A company has been given an award for its high levels of consumer care, highlighting the value of customer service training.

The Customer Service prize at the Shropshire Business Awards 2009 has been given to the Wrekin Housing Trust, 24dash.com reports.

A number of judges visited the firm's premises to assess the level of its customer focus and it beat a number of competitors to the accolade.

Jane Brookes, director of housing at the group, says that the organisation is "thrilled and honoured".

She states: "In our tenth anniversary, this is a great recognition. We will continue to work hard to ensure our customers, staff and partners all receive the same great standard of customer care."

Among the areas the judges were impressed by were the group's attitude to its tenants, commitment to consumer wellbeing and its responses to feedback.

In other news, 24dash.com has reported that Hillingdon Council's The Asha Day Centre recently won an award recognising its consumer care, highlighting the value of customer service training.
