Leadership training 'key for the next ten years'

12 January 2009

Leadership training will be one of the key developments in the next ten years, an expert asserts.

Virginia Clark, the global head of learning and talent management at business software firm SAP, tells a panel brought together by Workforce Management that this will be one of the areas of biggest concern for businesses.

She says a transition from a "command and control" style of management to one with a more collaborative approach will require training.

Ms Clark states: "I really think that leadership development is going to be one of the areas on top of the corporate agenda."

One of the other predictions the panel made is that development will increasingly be seen as part of an integrated optimisation of the workplace.
