Travel agency staff to receive performance management training
07 November 2007
Staff at a travel agency consortium in Peterborough are set to receive performance management training.
It is a widely acknowledged fact that performance management training is a key way to improving a business, and now Worldchoice will benefit greatly, the Peterborough Evening Telegraph reports.
The group has gained funding from the East of England Development Agency to run a series of management courses, which will be manifested in classroom sessions.
Senior staff at the travel agency group will be able to improve their performance management skills, as well as their ability to build and develop a motivated and successful team.
"The idea for this pilot programme arose from our Health Check initiative, where industry consultants spent a day with members," said Sue Sharman, training manager at Worldchoice.
"One of the crucial findings was that agents could improve business performance if they sharpened up their management skills."
